🦝 Is Fallout 3 Better Than New Vegas
The public perception of New Vegas, especially the idea that New Vegas was better than Fallout 3, had a noticeable turnaround throughout the 2010s. For example, near the game's launch, a portion of players felt New Vegas either did not live up to Fallout 3 or considered New Vegas to be on par with it, especially due to the technical issues and
4. Jul 22, 2018. It just seems a little bit odd. Fallout 3 is closer to the original games than New Vegas is. Fallout 3 has more roleplaying elements implemented and is a vastly superior game to New Vegas. It would waste a lot of my time just to regurgitate the same points as Many A True Nerd did:
4 has better gameplay, 3 has better narrative, quests, rpg mechanics, and imo a better world design and location designs. ps: 3 has overall better npcs but 4 has better companions. Play 4 first, then New Vegas then 3. 3 is one of the best games ever made. 4 just has smoother gameplay and prettier graphics.
Between perks, ammo, guns and enemies new Vegas combat is so much better than 4 despite being in an outdated engine version. Imagine if Bethesda built the Vegas strip. Imagine if Bethesda gave the new Vegas devs the same budget and engine improvements that fallout 4 had, this is like comparing a car from 60 years ago with a car made today.
Yes you can craft some weapons, but the number is so little that is more of fetch quest than crafting system. Fo4 on other hand have a fully working craft system that can mod entire weapons almost from scratch. I guess. But I’ve actually used the new Vegas crafting system to help me out in quests.
New Vegas had its share of fetch quests, but the factions also had more comprehensive quests. In Fallout 3, the fetch quests were largely the entirety of a faction's player questing. Finish one quest to earn their acceptance, then fetch-a-palooza.
New Vegas: I love Fallout. I have played all of them, and enjoyed all of them. But the hype New Vegas gets is so undeserving. Yes, its main quest is better than 4s and 76s but it falls short in so many other aspects and the hype it gets is completely uncalled for. The main quest boils down to: Go speak to main faction A
However most Fallout Fans wanted an rpg like every other Fallout game before, and in that regard Fallout 4 did not deliver at all which is why people lean more towards New Vegas than 4, because most fans even if they never played the original Fallout games did play 3 and New Vegas. Now Fallout 3 I won't touch much on since it's not important
Fallout New Vegas has tons of references and connections to the two original games. A few employees from Obsidian Entertainment (FNV) helped develop Fallout and Fallout 2. Like Scott Everts; he was the lead world builder for Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout New Vegas. The collectable Evil Gnome in FNV is a reference to him.
When I play 3 and NV I feel the atmosphere much better than in 4. Everything looks so rusted and blurry in 3 and NV. Instead of hurting my eyes it actually immerses me into the post-apocalyptic atmosphere. Fallout 4 looks nicer because textures are higher res, reflections are now a thing and everything just looks smoother.
Absolutely not. All available information suggests it's taking more cues from games like Mass Effect Andromeda, The Quiet Man, No Man's Sky (the launch build) and Anthem. All indications point towards it taking more cues from Fallout 76 than Fallout New Vegas. RichGraverDig • 8 mo. ago.
The Atmosphere is better. Fallout 3 did a great job of showing you the poverty and the hope of the wasteland, slowly pushing the player to more advanced settlements and technology through the storyline. New Vegas tried to have the glitz of glam of Vegas and the quiet. harsh solitude of the desert and I don't think it did either of them
