🐗 Lg Monitor Usb Ports Not Working
On my 27GN950 the USB Hub stopped working. I can hear a high pitched noise, similar to coil whine, if the USB-B to USB-A cable is connected. The coil whine noise was present from the start but now the PC doesn't recognize the monitor's USB hub at all. r/Monitors.
Go to Download driver and firmware for Surface, choose Surface Laptop. Then click the link next to Surface Laptop Studio then click Download on the next page. Choose the .msi file that matches your current OS Build and click Next. After downloading, run and install the .msi then Restart. Let me know how it goes.
I have to use a usb-c to usb-c cable from pc to monitor which powers the other 2 type a usb ports. Look at the diagram in the LG users manual for your monitor. The tb3 port has a usb-c connector and it actually uses dp 1.2 alternate mode usb so it should work. Turn off hdmi ultra HD deep color Enable DP 1.2 in the monitor osd.
The monitor charges the computer. It also has a speaker, mic, camera, and USB ports. One of the ports is used to connect to LAN. Everything used to work fine, but recently something happened. Once in a while, all these devices (camera, mic, USB) suddenly disconnect. The monitor still works OK and still charges the computer.
When a Plugable DisplayLink device is not working as expected with a Windows system, the best practice is to disconnect the device from the host system (and remove it's external power source, if it has one) and perform a 'clean' manual installation of the latest version we recommend of the required DisplayLink software driver to help ensure both are in a good state.
Get a USB-C to USB-A cable that supports at least USB 3.x Gen 1 (5 Gbps). You don't need Gen 2 (10 Gbps) support since the display doesn't support it, but some C to A cables only support USB 2.0, so avoid those. Connect the USB-C side to the display and the USB-A side to your Precision.
Make sure that all 3 cables from your monitor are plugged in. There is the power cable, the HDMI/Display Port, and the last one. The last one (idk the name of it) controls the USB ports. Mine was slightly unplugged from my PC. Plugged it in fully and it worked fine. Hopefully that helps you. Wrath421 • 9 mo. ago.
Audio output not working through HDMI My new M1 Mac Mini running Big Sur 11.1 is connected to two monitors via HDMI (one through the mini's HDMI port, the other through one of the mini's thunderbolt ports). Everything works fine, both audio and video, until the mini goes to sleep.
I have a brand new LG 27UK850-w Monitor and have it connected via HDMI to my PC but the USB hub on the back of my my monitor is not working. Stuff that is plugged in there won't get power or show up on my desktop like for example a USB stick. When I connect my MBP via USB-C however the ports are working without any problem.
After I used the original USB-C cable coming with LG monitor, the connection is ok, and ONLY on the top usb-c port of the left on Macbook Air M1. Not working with the second port of usb-c. In summary, the USB-C port of Macbook Air M1 and the USB-C cable all come to play.
If your 5480 doesn't have TB3, then you would not be able to use the TB3 ports on the display if that is the LG UltraFine 4K display model you have. In terms of the USB-C to HDMI cable, those can only be used to connect a USB-C port on a system to an HDMI input on a display. You cannot use it to connect the HDMI output on a system to a USB-C
Sometimes, the issue might be within the monitor’s settings. Access the on-screen display (OSD) menu of your LG monitor and navigate to the audio settings. Ensure that the monitor is not muted and that the volume is set to an audible level. In cases where the monitor is used as a secondary display, check your computer’s sound settings to
